Alternatively she may have been his sister. Access to Archives has reference in a document dated 1807 to Philip Norbury the younger and the elder, printers; also a Henry Norbury, printer.Top The legatees, witnesses & executorWilliam Philip NORBURY: darling nephew & godson; in the 1841 census William NORBURY, aged 24 was living with Philip and Marian Norbury at the High Street proeprty. He was an assistant. Ten years later Mary Ann Norbury, unmarried, headed the household (aged 71) and William was recorded as her nephew, a printer, aged 34, born Brentford. He remained in Brentford running the business and died there in 1893.Mary Ann NORBURY: (niece?); in 1851 a Mary Ann Norbury, aged 32, born Brentford was working as a teacher in Brighton. John Wilkinson NORBURY: youngest nephew; a John Wilkinson Norbury married in Southampton in 1845. Henry EYLES: a person of this name is recorded in New Brentford in an 1826 trade directory. Anne GILBERT: goddaughter; an Ann GILBERT was living in the Norbury household in 1841; she was an assistant aged 24. She remained at the Norbury's in 1851. Jonathan Thomas SLEAP: a local solicitor.
