John Mills Memorial Window

John Mills lived at 362 High Street and was a carpenter, sexton, undertaker & builder, also the Parish Clerk of St George's Church for over 50 years. He had at least two sons: John Mills, who also became a carpenter, and William Pitt Mills, who by 1881 was married and a gas company engineer in Dartford, Kent, as well as several daughters.
