The testator

Thomas PIPER: his son (also Thomas PIPER) became a Local Board member in the 1870s, see Janet McNamara's research into him and the Piper family, also notes for the Six Bells, 149 High Street.

His brother Charles PIPER also left a PCC will (1856).

The witnesses & executor

David WATERS, executor, lived near Thomas PIPER in 1841, possibly at 142 High Street.

Thomas LINDLEY, orange merchant, the other executor: probably related to John Lindley, fruiterer, who lived at 147 High Street in 1841: next door but one to the Six Bells
