Glan Helen, Upper Butts, 1973
Peter Young took this house photo of Glan Helen on 25th August 1973 - a late summer's day, attic windows thrown open to enjoy the fresh air (and perhaps to let out the heat from a poorly insulated roof).Glan Helen is on the Upper Butts corner, Somerset Road running alongs its side. It looks pretty much the same today, apart from having a privet hedge in addition to its railings, a burglar alarm and the tree to the left has gone.
