St George's Church Redevelopment, Brentford, 2016
Scroll down to see Diane Newman's three photos which show the current state of the redevelopment of St George's Church, which served as the parish church for Old Brentford from 1828 until its closure in the 1960s.The building is being gutted. There are some views of the church when it was in one piece): early 1900s, mid-1960s, 1975 and 2002. They show it has always been over-shadowed, first by gas holders, later by flats.
