St Paul's Church, Brentford, 1997Fay Twydell has provided this photo from 1997 showing St Paul's church, which was modernised and extended between 1990 and 1992.The church was built in 1867/8 to serve the growing population of Old Brentford, which until then used St George's church on the High Street. Along with St Faith's, St Paul's now serves both Old and New Brentford, the original parish churches of St George and St Lawrence having been closed. See 'Brentford Past' by Gillian Clegg for more about the history of this and other Brentford churches, including non-confirmist chapels. See other photos provided by Fay dating from 1997.
