Brentford Carnival, 1930s

Diane Lockie has provided this photo which she thinks dates from the 1930s. She says 'my aunt Doris Newman is the one near the basket' and the little girl is Peggy Shaw. If you can identify the location or name the other lady please get in touch.
Garland-bestrewn float carrying two ladies and a small girl dressed as tea pickers in saris

The Middlesex crest and date of 1905 is visible on the building in the background: is this Brentford Market?

The beautifully decorated float carries adverts for Kin-Gama digestive tea. A van in the background carries signage starting 'The Gas Light...'.
