Drums on barge at Brentford Dock, 1973Peter Young took this photo in the run-up to Christmas, 22 December 1973. He spotted the cargo of blue and orange drums loaded on a barge in Brentford Dock - a colourful sight. The orange and blue are similar to RNLI colours and look good. You probably ask 'what was in the drums?'. I don't know, but the words 'Additive Lubrizol 72' can be made out, also 'Nett 225' and 'Made in England'. Perhaps someone knows more? If so please get in touch. Full list of Peter's photos which include several views of Brentford Dock (and more). Published November 2017 |
