Drums on barge at Brentford Dock, 1973

Peter Young took this photo in the run-up to Christmas, 22 December 1973. He spotted the cargo of blue and orange drums loaded on a barge in Brentford Dock - a colourful sight. The orange and blue are similar to RNLI colours and look good.

You probably ask 'what was in the drums?'. I don't know, but the words 'Additive Lubrizol 72' can be made out, also 'Nett 225' and 'Made in England'. Perhaps someone knows more? If so please get in touch.
