WW1 Soldier

WW1 Soldier Mike Perry has provided this photo from his family album, name not known.

Thanks to Terry Muldoon for supplying the following information, January 2013: he is in the Royal Engineers. He is wearing a 1903 Pattern Bandolier. (It could carry fifty rounds of .303 ammunition.)

This equipment was in use by mounted troops right up to and during WW2 but I think that he is probably WW1 as labelled.
