Fay Twydell has provided this photo from 1997. The building to the right is no. 158 High Street and the view is looking north to Brentford Bridge which crosses the Grand Union (formerly Grand Junction) Canal.

Fay adds 'Note the new steps up, they were not there in 1962 when I left home'.

Dave Stoneleigh took a similar view in 2008, following re-development of the High Street site.
