Not Brentford

1945/6 photo by H. Felton: numbers 332 - 333

view showing 2 dilapidated 2 storey brick built properties

These older and rather shabby properties can be picked out on the tithe enumeration map of 1839/41. The 1909/10 Valuation estimated they were about 300 years old.

A trade directory for 1940 suggests no. 332 was Adnams, newsagent and no. 333 A Griffin, wardrobe dealer, but the photo (which cannot lie!) shows no. 331 was Adnams and no. 332 a furniture shop - secondhand by the look of it.

Number 333 looks very dilapidated and possibly not lived in.
